Dr. Malek is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a 1990 graduate of The Ohio State College of Dentistry. He is also a graduate of the 2-year Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. He served as Chief Resident during his second year and received the Orthodontic Excellence Award.
After completing his residency, he joined the US Air Force. He served as head of the department of pediatric dentistry at Sheppard AFB in Texas, and then at Misawa AB in Japan. During this time he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Dr Malek completed his service in the Air Force in 1997, and became an associate dentist in Mansfield, OH. He and his family moved to Zanesville in 1999, when he began his pediatric dental practice. He has continued to serve the children of Southeast Ohio and Western West Virginia as both a Diplomate of the ABPD and Fellow of the AAPD.
